1. Summary

KeyBricks is a single-player brick-breaker game. You can play the entire campaign and endless mode with no account and with the device offline. The only time anything leaves your device is if you use the Community feature (browse, publish, or vote on player-made levels) or if the app connects to our backend for those features.

We do not collect your real name, email, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, or any advertising identifier. We do not show ads. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with any third party for their own purposes — the only processor involved is Google Firebase, which runs the Community feature's backend described below.

2. What we collect and why

2.1 If you use the Community feature

When the app connects to our backend (Google Firebase), we create an anonymous account for you. This is a random identifier — it is not tied to your name, email, or any other service.

This data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). It is not shared with anyone beyond the Firebase infrastructure used to operate the feature. See Google's privacy policy. Firebase may process and store this data in the United States or other countries where Google operates data centers.

2.2 Stored only on your device

Your game progress — level stars, keycap balance, unlocked skins and themes, endless-mode records, favorites, settings, and the level-editor draft — is saved only on your device in the app's private storage. It is never uploaded. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

2.3 What we do NOT collect

2.4 Permissions the app uses

3. Children

KeyBricks is not directed to children under 13. Because the Community feature lets players publish content and display names that others can see, the app is rated for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has published content, contact us and we will remove it.

4. User-generated content and moderation

Players can create and publish levels with custom names and choose a display name. You can report any level you find inappropriate from the level's detail screen; reported content is hidden from feeds once it reaches our report threshold and is reviewed. You can also block another creator, which hides their content for you. Do not publish content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable. If you believe your content was reported or moderated in error, contact us and we will review it.

5. Deleting your data

You can delete everything associated with your anonymous account at any time:

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

6. Data retention

Community data stays on our backend until you delete it or the app is retired. On-device data stays until you reset progress or uninstall the app.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Because the account is anonymous, we may not be able to identify you from the identifier alone — use the in-app deletion control or contact us.

8. Security

We use HTTPS to transmit community data and rely on Firebase's security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited data we hold.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app or store listing. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new policy.
